We do that by using a computer analysis to create a three dimensional map of the eye. Since every eye is different, the scan allows the physician to adjust the laser treatment very precisely, making even minute changes that can improve sight.
Campbell Cunningham Laser Center in Knoxville uses VISX™ Advanced CustomVue™ technology to provide this three-dimensional map of the cornea, which allows our VISX™ STAR S4 IR Laser System to perform Custom LASIK using the blade free VISX Intralase™, a femtosecond laser.
The procedure only takes about ten minutes, after which your vision can be corrected for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
